The Norfolk and Norwich Association

The Norfolk and Norwich Association meets monthly, usually in the Costessey Centre, (NR8 5AH) to hear interesting, sometimes controversial, speakers, often on current social and/or local topics. These meetings always conclude with a short business meeting.

Upcoming subjects include Burston Strike School, Beating the Bounds in Georgian Norfolk, Early Female Aviators, and Coffins to Condoms. Alongside these speaker events, we have regular discussion groups, a variety of interesting visits, well-attended luncheons, coffee mornings, quizzes, and a well-established Book Group.

The Book Group meets regularly at Waterstones, in Norwich.  Books are chosen by Norfolk and Norwich Association members.  For a list of upcoming titles, please visit - CURRENT PROGRAMME (tab above) and scroll down.

We also raise funds towards our Betty Robinson Education Award, which is presented each year to a deserving sixth form girl, to help with university expenses.

The Norfolk and Norwich Association, although not well-publicised, is very well-established.  Members have built up lasting friendships over decades.  As a result, we have a very supportive and friendly group.

Come along to one of our events, and experience it for yourself, and bring your friends too!  We are always on the lookout for new members, and will make you very welcome.  Whether you are retired, and looking for friendship and interesting activities, or whether you have recently graduated, and are looking to build up a network of contacts, our Norfolk and Norwich Association has something to offer women of all ages.  Our members have a wealth of experience in many different fields of interest, and the BFWG has well-established local, national and international links, for those wanting to be part of something that extends from Norwich and Norfolk, to the rest of the world.  So, whether you want to engage your mind in some interesting topics, or you just want to meet up for a coffee and a chat with some new friends, we definitely have something to offer.  Try it, you won't be sorry!

If you would like more information, please leave your details on our Contact Us page, and we'll be in touch.  Otherwise, just take a look at our Current Programme, and come along to the Costessey Centre for one of our speaker events. (We meet a few minutes earlier than the time stated, so that we can have tea, coffee and biscuits beforehand).

We look forward to seeing you!
